Forwarding emails
Creating rules to automatically forward emails externally will not work and is a violation of University policy.
Leaving Rutgers?
Your @math.rutgers.edu email account will be closed once you no longer have a Faculty, Staff or Guest role at Rutgers. This is usually the day following your last day at Rutgers.
Retirees and Alumnus are allowed to keep their @scarletmail.rutgers.edu accounts. These accounts must be activated before leaving Rutgers, so please do so as early as possible.
Emails sent to netid@rutgers or your personalized @rutgers.edu email addresses will be forwarded to your @scarletmail.rutgers.edu email address. This is why we recommend using a @rutgers.edu email address for outside communications and publications.
Saving emails before you leave
You'll have to manually copy emails you wish to save from your Rutgers Connect account before the account is closed.
