Welcome Alumni

The Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences Mathematics Department seeks to serve our alumni and greater community as a conduit for intellectual exchange and maintaining professional and social contacts among graduates, faculty and others committed to our work here.

Our lecture series and conferences are generally open to the public though registration may be required. Please check for upcoming events at:

We also encourage you to visit our recently updated history of the mathematics program at Rutgers written by Charles Weibel. Dr. Weibel notes in the article, “the history of mathematics at Rutgers is bound up with Rutgers' unique history” and the influence and character of the program certainly bears this out.

In connecting our proud history with our bright future, the Mathematics Department urges our alumni to help us stay current. We have created a special alumni news form so that we can keep in touch with our former undergrads and graduate students. If you’d like to be added to our mailing list for special events and news, please add your information to our mailing list.

Our Mathematics Alumni website also serves to facilitate contacts among former graduates and provide professional contacts for our current graduates. In particular, we would be interested to know if you are interested in recruiting mathematics graduates for permanent positions or as interns. If you would like more information about this, please email us at UGOFFICE@math.rutgers.edu.
