The RUMEY (Rutgers Mathematics End of Year) conference is r eturning for 2026! This free event provides an opportunity for us to come t ogether, discuss teaching and learning in undergraduate mathematics and oth er STEM fields, and showcase the work we are doing in our classrooms.

The con ference will take place at Rutgers - New Brunswick on the Livingston campus on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by a reception from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be pro vided free of charge.

This year, we are excited to welcome two outstanding ke ynotes:

Dr. Saundra McGuire - “Metacognition and Mindset: Keys to Igniting Success for Ev ery Student”
Dr. J ames Tanton - “Dots: A Global Mathematic s Phenomenon”

Each presentation will be 30 minutes and may focus on any aspect of teaching and learning undergraduate mathemat ics, including pedagogy, classroom strategies, research, or other relevant topics you would like to share. You can submit a proposal by filling out th e abstract submission form by March 23. Decisi ons will be made by early April.
