 "><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Estimating quantum states from time-depende
 nt measurements is important for the manipulation and processing of informa
 tion in quantum systems. We discuss in detail the limitations of recovering
  initial states from noisy measurement records. In the case, where the meas
 urement process scrambles the initial state information, we show the emerge
 nce of a weak measurement-long time scaling limit. If time permits, we will
  also discuss estimating the current state from past measurement records, a
  question important for measurement-based feedback control of quantum syste
 ms.</p>
