Eisenstein Distributions on the Universal Cover of SL(2,R) - George Hauser's PhD defense

Abstract: In this dissertation, we construct a family of distributional analogs of Eisenstein series on the universal cover of SL(2,R). These Eisenstein distributions are defined uniformly for arbitrary degree covers of SL(2,R), and they are defined over Q. We analyze the singular behavior of these Eisenstein distributions and show that they have a poles in the segment 1/2
