Jones (1980) identified extension domains for BMO with uniform domains.  In joint work with Almaz Butaev, we show the analogous result for classes of functions of vanishing mean oscillation, and for the nonhomogeneous BMO space defined by Goldberg.  In the latter case we identify the extension domains with the epsilon-delta domains used in Jones' extension theorem for Sobolev spaces, which can be considered as local versions of uniform domains.
