Abstract: Gursky and Streets introduced a family of fully nonlinear elliptic equations, as geodesic equations of the space of metrics in a fixed conformal class. The set-up of geometric structure was motivated by the Kahler geometry, and can be used to prove the uniqueness of sigma_2 Yamabe problem in dimension four. We discuss the Gursky-Streets equations, the regularity and the applications.
