Title
"The Plateau problem from the perspective of optimal transport"

Both Optimal Transport (OT) and Minimal Surfaces have received much attention in recent years. We show that the methodology introduced by Kantorovich on the Monge problem in OT can, surprisingly, be adapted to questions investigated in Geometric Analysis such as the celebrated Plateau problem involving the least area spanned by a curve.
