Algebra Seminar

The K'-theory of monoid sets

Chuck Weibel, Rutgers University

Location:  Room 425
Date & time: Wednesday, 05 February 2020 at 2:00PM - 3:00PM

Abstract:   There are three flavors of K-theory for a pointed abelian monoid A; they depend on the A-sets one allows. This talk considers the well-behaved family of partially cancellative (pc) A-sets, and its K-theory. For example, if A is the natural numbers, then pc A-sets are just rooted trees.
