Gang Tian (Peking University)

Location:  Hill 705
Date & time: Wednesday, 04 December 2019 at 3:30PM - 4:30PM

Abstract:  I will start with an introduction to the classical random matrix models. Then I will explain our results on two classical topics: the extreme gap problem and the normality of C\betaE. In the end, I will talk about mathematical aspects of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model which originated in physics. Some open problems and conjectures will be discussed.
