ABSTRACT: In this talk, I will discuss some of the arithmetic applications of Ratner's Theorems on unipotent flows. One notable application is Margulis' Theorem (formerly, Oppenheim's Conjecture).

This is the second lecture in a series of talks on Ratner's Theorems.
