Big Numbers: From Combinatorics to Logic

Abstract: What is the biggest number you know? Of course there are infinitely many numbers, but constructing extremely large finite numbers is a nontrivial task. In this talk we will discuss historical methods of constructing such numbers, and we will then explore what additional logical axioms can do for us.
