Abstract: I will discuss our recent work on a generalized Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture which gives sufficient and necessary algebraic conditions for the existence of Kahler-Einstein metrics on all (singular) Fano varieties. I will also talk about normalized volume which was introduced to study local metric structures of Kahler-Einstein varieties and gives new algebraic invariant attached to Kawamata-log-terminal singularities.
