We will also cover certain additional material not in either text, particularly additional topics in measure and integration and Banach spaces. This material will be documented in detail in notes that will be posted on the web, on the reading assignment page below. A detailed syllabus will be posted shortly. Grading: There will be one midterm and one final exam. These will be are 25 and 40 percent of the grade respectively. The homework assignments account for the remaining 35 percent. Weekly reading assignments and problem assignments will be posted through the links below.
