"Discussion: Designing Effective Exams"

Abstract: Perhaps late for the first midterm, but in time for the second, we will discuss what makes for a good exam. From question selection to overall length, many things can go wrong without our notice (until we find three-quarters of the class has failed). Come ready to discuss your design parameters, strategies, and rules of thumb for making quality exams.
