Math 552 is the second semester of the standard introductory graduate algebra course. A significant portion of the course is devoted to the theory of field extensions, including Galois theory. Additional topics are chosen in part based on the interests of the students. The textbook is Serge Lang's Algebra (third edition). Notices and assignments will appear on this page.
The class meets TTh5 (2:50 to 4:10PM) in Hill 425.
